Continental Car Parks, a subsidiary of Aan de Stegge Twello, has realized a P&R parking facility for the station in Elst. The parking garage was designed by architectural firm MH1 from Maastricht in collaboration with Continental Car Parks and consists of 4 parking layers with a total capacity of approximately 590 cars. The construction consists of a slender and slender steel construction with a unique facade that fits within the image quality plan and the ambitions of the municipality of Overbetuwe.
The parking garage was realized as part of the 'Growth on the rail' action plan, which was drawn up to give substance to the ambition to achieve growth on the rail by making train travel attractive(more) for more and more people. The action plan consists of concrete measures that help people to travel from door to door quickly, comfortably and reliably. This parking garage is built on 219 screw piles (long 10 m1) from Jacbo at Stegge Twello.
The P&R parking facility at Elst station was commissioned by NS Stations BV and was commissioned at the end of 2014, after which Q-Park took care of the day-to-day management.
